Nuka Research has been contracted to facilitate the yearly Oil Spill Act Advisory Committee meeting. The first meeting facilitated by Nuka Research was in January of 2018. At these meetings, advisory committee members and federal, state, and local stakeholders are presented with updates on the events that occurred since the previous meeting, the status of the fund, and provide input on Oil Spill Response policy or program changes.
Topics and agenda items are updated yearly, but meeting items tend to focus on oil spill response training exercises, reserve fund status, and new business or projects.
